Support // flight status
Keep the ship moving.
Gripwake is still in active development. This page separates what works today from what is planned, and gives playtesters a clean first response when something goes sideways.
Current availability
Public App Store release
Not live yet. Gripwake is being tested through private development builds while its first ten-sector arc, interface, performance, and release requirements are finished.
Platforms
The primary target is iPhone and iPad, with portrait play designed first and landscape supported. Windows builds are used for development and invited playtesting. Other stores are possibilities, not announced releases.
Price and purchases
The intended base game is free, single-player, and ad-free. A small pack of stat-free supporter cosmetics is planned but is not active in the current test build and is not required for completion.
Save safety
Current playtest builds save progress locally on the device. The game checkpoints during flight and after important discoveries, but local storage can still be removed by deleting the app or clearing its data.
- Use Pause → Save & Return to Title before closing when practical.
- Do not erase the pilot as a troubleshooting step; that action is intended to reset progression.
- When updating a test build, follow the distribution instructions you received with that build.
Quick troubleshooting
A control or tutorial step will not advance
Pause once, resume, and repeat the highlighted action on the visible target. If the tutorial remains locked, use its skip option and include the exact lesson name in your feedback.
The interface is clipped or difficult to touch
Note the device model, orientation, and the screen where it happened. A screenshot is especially useful because safe areas and text scaling vary by device.
Flight feels slow during mining or salvage
Save to the title screen and reopen the expedition. If it repeats, record which interaction was active and whether audio was playing continuously.
An exit or objective cannot be found
Move until active objects leave the screen; the edge guidance should point toward the nearest required activity or exit. If no cue appears after the sector objective is complete, capture the mission banner and sector number.
What makes a useful report
A short report is better than a perfect one. Please include:
- What you expected to happen.
- What happened instead.
- The device, orientation, and build version if visible.
- A screenshot or short recording when the issue is visual.
- Whether it happens again after returning to the title screen.
